Hosteria Il Pino

Dear Sandra: we returned to Il Pino again this year and again it was the highlight of our trip. Your food and the sincere graciousness of the staff make for a fabulous experience. Your dad is a jewel and your partner (Baldassare?) is such a gentleman. We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our evening at Il Pino. My husband and I married in Positano and were honeymooning in Praiano and ended up eating at your restaurant. We'd actually tried to get in somewhere else, they had no tables available, so we walked down the street to find something else. We had walked past your restaurant and just saw the set of stairs and decided to keep going and find something else. A short time later, whilst we were walking down the street, a rider on a motorbike saw us and stopped. Quite by coincidence, it turned out to be our wedding photographer, who is a Praiano local, and he recommended we try your restaurant, so on his advice we walked back up the street and turned up without a reservation. Once inside, the female host gave us a glass of prosecco and informed us that a table by the window was going to be available soon. How lucky were we. This turned out to be a spectacular meal, one of the best we'd had in our entire holiday. My husband had the fish of the day which was cooked in sea salt and I had probably one of the best mussel dishes I've ever eaten in my life. Your restaurant is amazing. Your food is so delicious and fresh and full of flavour. Your staff were all professional, attentive, friendly and polite and did a great job. You are doing everything right. We loved dining at your restaurant and will be back again when we next visit Italy.

Incredible!  2nd year in a row dining at Il Pino, we now have eaten there 7 times and it only gets better.  Sandy, Domenico, Baldessare, & Roberto make you feel like  part of their family.  As a foodie and past restauranteur, Il Pino is the best dining experience on the Amalfi coast!  Tried their mussels and it was so good, you could cry.  The table next to us ordered them during their dessert because we raved so much and they were not disappointed.  All the best,  Peter & Rose Ann

Dear Sandra, Domenico and Baldo: Me and my Husband, Daughter and 2 sons enjoyed our first and last dinner at your wonderful restaurant mid August. We were treated like family. The food was amazing. The best of our entire trip! We will highly reccomend Il Pino to everyone we know visiting the Amalfi Coast. We also want to thank Baldo for picking us up and taking us back and giving our aching feet a rest. I will send you pictures soon. Thank you again for being the highlight of our family vacation!!
